STATS-DC 2011

The STATS-DC annual conference is a data conference related to education statistics, and is the main data conference for the Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).  The 2011 conference was held from July 27-29 in Bethesda, Maryland.   The two and a half day conference is designed for education researchers, policymakers, and data system managers who specialize in the implementation of education data collections.

IQS Research attended this year’s conference, and presented alongside Bob Rodosky, chief researcher at Jefferson County Public Schools, on the challenges facing students planning on attending college, and area in which IQS Research has done extensive research.  Shawn Herbig, president of IQS Research, also took the opportunity to attend several of the other sessions and live-blogged his takeaways on the different subject matters he was exposed to.

Below is the list of blog posts he published on KnowledgeDynamo.
